WELCOME

Falmouth Harbour, including the Carrick Roads, is reputed to be the third largest natural harbour in the world. Falmouth Harbour Commissioners are a statutory port authority with responsibility for the Inner Harbour at Falmouth (excluding Falmouth Docks), the Penryn River up as far as Boyers Cellars, the southern part of the Carrick Roads and a large part of Falmouth Bay. As well as providing regulation of its Harbour Area the Commissioners provide small craft facilities for residents and visitors.

Leisure Facilities

We offer a variety of facilities for residents and visitors.

RESIDENTS

There are 588 deep water swinging moorings in the harbour.

These are situated on the Falmouth side between Custom House Quay and Prince of Wales Pier, between Greenbank Quay and   Prince of Wales Pier and on the Flushing side between Flushing New Quay and Kiln Quay.

There are dinghy berths available at Grove Place Boat Park which also boasts a slipway for launch and recovery at most states of the tide.

There are outhauls for vessels up to 4.88m on Custom House Quay, King Charles Quay and North Quay.

All of the above facilities are only available to people who have their names on one of our facility waiting lists.

VISITORS

The Visitors Yacht Haven pontoons provide berthing for up to 100 vessels.  They are ideally situated for the amenities in Falmouth Town and are within easy walking distance of the shops and the National Maritime Museum. There is a wide choice of pubs, restaurants and cafes in the immediate vicinity.

There are 19 Visitor's deep water moorings for single vessels although more than one vessel may occupy a visitors mooring by arrangement with the Harbour Office or Harbour Launch.

An anchorage area is provided between Custom House Quay and Falmouth Docks.

Grove Place Boat Park has a limited number of visitor's dry berths for small vessels and trailers.

Visitors paying for the use of one of our visitor's facilities are also entitled to use our Amenity Centre which has toilets, showers and a laundry.
