Yacht Haven

The Visitors Yacht Haven enjoys a happy and informal atmosphere and is the ideal base for a visit to Falmouth.

The Visitors Yacht haven was opened by Falmouth Harbour Commissioners in 1982 and has been steadily improved over the years. The original pontoons were destroyed by a storm in 1993 and the replacement installation included tubular steel breakwater pontoons to provide effective shelter in all conditions.

The present Yacht Haven has capacity for approximately 100 boats, we do not take any prior bookings for this facility. It is ideally situated for the amenities in Falmouth Town and is within easy walking distance of the Shops and the National Maritime Museum. There is a wide choice of pubs, restaurants and cafes in the immediate vicinity.

Electricity (using prepaid cards) and fresh water are available to customers on the pontoons, subject to availability.  Weather reports and visitors information are offered at the supervisors hut at the top of the ramp. The Yacht Haven has a first class amenity centre which contains showers, toilets and laundry facilities. It is cleaned and maintained to a high standard which has been praised by many of our visitors.  Access to these facilities is controlled by swipe cards which are issued by FHC staff for a small refundable deposit.

A WiFi wireless internet facility is also offered to customers on the Yacht Haven.  This allows boat users to access the internet and check their email using the secure high speed connection provided.

The Yacht Haven is suitable for use by vessels up to 16m Length and 2.5m draft (larger vessels may be accepted on application). An approach channel is dredged to 1.5m and is marked by orange triangular leading marks. View Approaches
