Amenity centreWe offer a selection of services which are available to visitors who are paying to use one of our visitors facilities, including the visitors moorings, anchorage, boat park visitors berths and Visitors Yacht Haven.

Amenity Centre

The Yacht Haven has a first class amenity centre which contains showers, toilets and laundry facilities. It is cleaned and maintained to a high standard which has been praised by many of our visitors.  Access to these facilities is controlled by swipe cards which are issued by FHC staff for a small refundable deposit.

A refuse compound is also provided on North Quay for visitors use. There are containers for general waste as well as recycle bins for glass bottles and cans. Batteries and old engine oil can be disposed of by contacting the duty supervisor (please note that a charge may be applicable).

Wifi Internet Access

A WiFi wireless internet facility is also offered to customers on the Yacht Haven.  This allows boat users to access the internet and check their email using the secure high speed connection provided. The WiFi signal may also be received in the anchorage area and on the visitors moorings nearest to the Yacht Haven. Payment for use of the Wifi service can be made online using either a debit or credit card. Wifi tariff 2008

Weather Forecasts

Daily 60 hour weather forecasts are displayed at the Harbour Office and at the Visitors Yacht Haven. The inner harbour is exposed to seas generated by strong Easterly or South Easterly winds and vessels on moorings are advised to ensure that they are very well secured when these conditions are forecast.  Vessels at anchor are at risk of dragging during strong winds from any direction.  Skippers of anchored vessels are advised to ensure that a suitable anchor watch is kept when strong wind conditions prevail.
