Falmouth Harbour Commissioners are a Board of Trustees set up by
a statutory process to administer the Harbour in the best interests
of its stakeholders.
The Commissioners aim to administer the Harbour in a manner which is both open to public scrutiny and accountable to their stakeholders. They aim to operate in all respects to the standards laid down in the Guide to Good Governance written by the Ports Division for the Department for Transport as part of the process of Modernizing of Trust Ports and published in January 2000.

As part of its commitment to openness, the Commissioners publish an annual strategy document and annual report which gives an outline of their plans for the coming year and a summary of last years activities and accounts.

The Commissioners are committed to modernizing their constitution in accordance with the guidance given in the above Guide. They are in the process of promoting a new Harbour Revision Order to implement these changes.
