The Ports of Falmouth and Truro are located within the Fal Estuary
in the southwest of the UK. The ports can offer all the services
and facilities required by modern commercial and fishing vessels.
Falmouth, with its deepwater harbour, is able to offer significant sheltered anchorages to a number of vessels while awaiting orders, seeking shelter or undertaking stores and crew changes. Indeed, the port has the UKs largest offshore bunkering facility, providing all grades of marine fuels.
Shiprepair, including casualty acceptance, is available at the shipyard operated by A&P Falmouth, which offers a complete package of support ranging from in-service repairs and overhauls to specialist capabilities such as aluminium welding and in-situ machining.
Commercial cargo handling facilities are available alongside the docks in Falmouth and further upriver at Lighterage Quay in Truro. Cargoes currently handled include bulk, bagged, packaged and palletised goods. Both ports are continually striving to improve facilities and increase cargo throughput.
Deepwater lay-up moorings for vessels up to 219 metres in length are also available in a sheltered location on the River Fal. In addition, you will find a number of shipbrokers, agents and chandlers locally who can attend to all the needs of owners and ship masters. We believe we have everything you require and that Falmouth and Truro between them offer a one-stop shop for all your shipping needs.
