OIL POLLUTION RESPONSE PLAN SENT OUT FOR CONSULTATION The Fal Estuary Oil Spill Contingency Plan has been sent out for consultation with statutory consultees before submission to the Maritime and Coastguard Agency for approval. Plans have to be re-submitted for approval every 5 years or after major modifications. The plan has been modified to include the precautions necessary in the event of ship to ship transfers of crude oil being undertaken in Falmouth Bay. The plan has been sent for consultation to Cornwall County Council, English Nature, DEFRA and the Environment Agency. To view the modified section of the Plan click here (PDF, 1MB). |
