Charges

 

HARBOUR CHARGES 1st JANUARY 2010 to 31st DECEMBER 2010

HARBOUR CONSERVANCY CHARGES

1. Harbour Conservancy Charges are payable in respect of every vessel entering, leaving or using the Harbour.

2. As from 1st April 2001 the following charges will be levied on the basis of ITC 69 (GT) on all vessels entering Falmouth Harbour limits for the purposes of anchoring, making fast or transiting the harbour save as exempted below.

3. As from 1st January 2008 reductions in charges for tankers with segregated ballast tanks will no longer be applied.


SECTION 1

Per entry and for every period of 4 weeks or part thereof that the vessel remains in the Harbour.

1. Vessels of more than 50 GT berthing in Falmouth Docks including the Eastern Jetty.  Other vessels of more than 50GT except those detailed below: £0.0868 per GT

2. Vessels of more than 50 GT remaining within the Harbour Area for less than 24 hours:£0.0123 per GT

3. Vessels transiting the Harbour Area to the Ports of Truro or Penryn:£0.0123 per GT

4. Vessels transiting the Harbour Area on inwards and outwards passages within a 24 hour period:£0.0123 per GT

5. Any vessel loading, discharging or transhipping cargo including fish, within the Harbour limits - combined conservancy and transhipping charge: under 2500 GT £0.180 per GT - 2500 GT and over £0.204 per GT

6. Vessels engaged in the provision of services and the supply of materials for the off shore oil industry or other similar operations:£0.501 per GT

7.Drilling or production rigs for oil, gas, coal or similar industries: £3975.96

8. Vessels anchoring within the “Added Limits” as defined in the Falmouth Harbour Revision Order 1991: £0.0123 per GT

9. Vessels anchoring in Falmouth Bay outside of the “added limits” for the purposes of discharging slops and remaining for less than 7 days: £0.0123 per GT

All vessels remaining in the Harbour for more than four weeks shall pay at a rate equal to the rate specified above for each subsequent four week period or part thereof.

Note: Charges shall not apply to vessels transiting the “Added Limits” only.

Minimum charge for any vessel described in section 1 above £31.60

SECTION 2
COMBINED CHARGES £283.91

All catching vessels engaged in the Commercial Fishing Industry may be subject to a combined charge to cover unrestricted entry and transhipment during each season.


SECTION 3

COMMERCIAL MOORINGS

1 CROSS ROAD MOORING (Per Day or Part)

a) All vessels including ships of the Royal, Commonwealth and Foreign Navies: £0.045 per GT

b) If such vessel is not manned or capable of moving from the mooring to an anchorage or another berth using its own power, at short notice: £0.064 per GT

c) Vessels of unusual type or posing unusual problems: By special arrangement

d) Minimum charge for any vessel: £206.52 per day or part

Maximum size of vessel normally permissible on the mooring except by special arrangement with the Harbour Master.

2 CALDY & FRIGATE BUOYS

Charges as A to C above

d) Minimum charge £43.00
Maximum size of vessel normally permissible on either of these Buoys, except by special arrangement with the Harbour Master.

Draught - 3.5M (11’6”)


CONDITIONS:

Any vessel alongside another vessel which is secured to a mooring shall pay the charges appropriate to its size and conditions, irrespective of whether or not it itself is secured to the mooring.

A vessel claiming to be eligible for charges 1A shall be ready to vacate the buoy at short notice given by the Harbour Master.

A composite charge in respect of extended occupancy may be agreed with the Harbour Master.

Charges are subject to VAT where appropriate.
